Tomslin Samme-Nlar is co-founder and research director of Gefona Digital Foundation, a not-for-profit digital policy research organization in Cameroon. He is a member of the panel of experts at the Security Institute for Governance and Leadership in Africa (SIGLA) of Stellenbosch University and a cybercrime expert at the Global Initiative against Transnational Organized Crime. He is also heavily involved in the global governance and policy development of global Internet resources, especially the Domain Name System, where he serves as vice chair in the generic domains policy management organization (GNSO) at Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). 

In the private sector, Tomslin has held numerous positions as senior principal consultant and architect for software companies, including as architect and network security adviser for Kenya National Security Intelligence Service (NSIS).
